Le Bureau international d'éducation est un centre de l'UNESCO, spécialisé dans le développement des contenus, méthodes et structures d'éducation. Le BIE construit des réseaux permettant le partage des expériences et des compétences, il favorise la coopération régionale et internationale. Il a été créé par Adolphe Ferrière, Édouard Claparède, Pierre Bovet en 1925 et dirigé par Jean Piaget (photo) de 1929 à 1968.
