The shared history according to geneveMonde.ch
Shared history is first and foremost a meeting between "small" history and "big" history. Shared history on geneveMonde.ch means writing the history of international Geneva with the public, without sacrificing the rigor that is due to it.
If you are curious to develop new ways of thinking and making history, if you have knowledge, testimonies or memories to share related to the history of international organizations, NGOs, international associations or Swiss international cooperation, publish your documents on geneveMonde.ch and contribute to its development!

To illustrate this shared history, we have chosen the photo of the United Nations passport attributed in 1960 to the Franco-Swiss Monique Rime, former employee of the IAEA in Vienna, then of the UN in Kinshasa and Geneva. See the file devoted to her personal history, notably when she was personal assistant to UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld (he held this position from 1953 until his death in a plane crash in 1961).

A time for dialogue
In 2003, a man from Geneva initiated a dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians far from the diplomatic arena. His aim: to achieve a two-state solution. The RTS archives bear witness to the dynamic generated by this ‘Geneva Initiative’.
